End of an Era

I should probably take the hint that this comm is dead, but I just can't accept that. So, here we go.

The US Equity Hair Tour played their final show tonight at 6:30 EST. 30 minutes ago, it all came to an end... but I refuse to believe that anything related to Hair can ever truly die. Too many hearts were touched, too many lives changed.

I wasn't at the final show in Cleveland tonight, and a very large part of me wishes I had been... and a just as large a part of me is afraid that I couldn't have handled it and is glad I wasn't there. If anyone was... my heart was with you.

My "final" Tour thoughts?

It's the end of an era, that's true. But I'm reminding myself that #HairGrows... and nothing truly ends so long as you hold it in your heart. I'll see you again, my friends. @HairTribeOnTour... thank you for these last three years. They've been glorious beyond measure and I am a better, stronger, happier person for having known you. You've brought me amazing friends who I will cherish for as long as I have them and a sense of purpose that I will treasure for the rest of my days. You've given me so much and I feel selfish that I still want more, but there it is. I do.

I can't wait to see what's next.

All my love.

Peace out.

☮ ❤ ♫♪
I realize that this is only loosely related to "Hair" being as it's about Gavin Creel... but hopefully the mods will allow this and you'll indulge me.

Gavin Creel's NOISE video is live on Youtube!!

This video is so powerful that I don't even have the words to express how I feel about it. The images contained within and the message Gavin is expressing in it broke my heart and rebuilt it multiple times in the span of 6 minutes. My admiration for this man just continues to grow and grow and grow. And Andrew Keenan-Bolger is a brilliant director. I'm in awe of them both. I dare you to watch this video and not get even a little choked up.

It's time to put a stop to the madness. Please watch. Buy the single. Make some NOISE. It's time to put a stop to the madness.

[Hair] I Saw A Ship a-Sailing (1/1)

Title: I Saw a Ship a-Sailing
Fandom: Hair, the musical: 2009 Revival/Tour
Pairing: Claude/Berger, Berger/Dionne, Berger/Sheila
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 3,174
Warnings: slash

Disclaimer: Neither the musical nor the boys belong to me, if they did they'd be groping each other on sta--. *pause* *blinkblink* Huh. Look at that... they do. *eg* :D ((Hair was written by James Rado and Gerome Ragni with music by Galt MacDermot.)) The title is from a poem, "I Saw a Ship a-Sailing" by Mother Goose, a poem I have loved (and had memorized) since I was a little girl.

Summary: "Berger walked around the dock area, stared at all the ships sitting idly in the harbor, waiting for someone to come along and give them purpose. He'd felt like that often -- like he was sitting idle, just waiting for someone to come along and give him a purpose."

I don't know if anyone is active on this comm anymore -- and that does make me sad :( -- but I thought I would post this, in case anyone is... especially as there were so many wonderful fanfics turned out after Hair's stop in Boston. ^_~

Boston is having their broadwayworld.com awards and Hair is up for several categories! They are up for "Best Touring Production" and Steel Burkhardt and Caren Tackett are up for "Best Actor/Actress (respectively) in a Touring Production -- Musical or Play".

On a side note, Hair alum, Gavin Creel, is up for "Best Actor in a Musical -- Large Theater" for Prometheus Bound, and Prometheus Bound, itself, is up for "Best Musical -- Large Theater".

So... go vote! ;D

2011 BroadwayWorld Boston Awards (Boston.BroadwayWorld.com)
Fandom: Hair
Pairing: Claude/Berger
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2,042
Summary: Every night Berger saved Claude, and every morning he was still dead.

HairFanfiction.net

First off, I am so glad to see that new people are writing Hair stories! :D This makes me extremely happy.

Secondly, for those few of you who utilized the site, I'm sorry about the abrupt disappearance of the Hair fanfic archive I had made. Short version of the really long story? My webhost decided to be an idiot and delete it. And of course, for the first time in forever, I had forgotten to back it up. *sigh*

Anyway, I've got the shell of it back up and running again with a new webhost, but I'm not thrilled with the one I'm using. So, before I re-upload everything, I wondered if anyone has a good (cheap!) webhost that they can recommend? I'd be grateful. Feel free to leave a comment here or e-mail me @ chibi1723@hotmail.com.

Thanks for your time and happy writing everyone!

Some of you may have heard that I took on the sequel to The Algea as a NaNoWriMo project. Well... I succeeded. Enjoy? ^_^

Title: The Zorya -- click the link for information about this trinity. ^_^
Fandom: Hair, the musical: 2009 Revival
Pairing: Berger/Claude/Sheila
Rating: PG-13 for some kissing, really very mild stuff, though... even for me.
Word Count: 62,249
Warnings: Slash (as always ^_^), angst

Disclaimer: Neither the musical nor the boys belong to me, if they did they'd be groping each other on sta--. *pause* *blinkblink* Huh. Look at that... they do. *eg* :D ((Hair was written by James Rado and Gerome Ragni with music by Galt MacDermot.))

Summary: Berger and Sheila are a broken triangle, desperately missing their third side. But is Claude well enough to fill his usual place? Only time will tell.

( Fake Cut to the Master Post and Chapter List )

Chapters will probably go up every other day or so and there will probably be about six of them when all is said and done. I'm still trying to figure out how to break this sucker up. :-P

Enjoy and please remember... comments and reviews are love!

The Tour has Begun!

So, I'm sure that we're all aware that the Tour has started in the US. I was lucky enough to get to go see it at its first stop in New Haven and let me tell you... it was fantastic. *_* I have no idea if anyone would be interested, but I've written up a detailed review and deconstruction of all the major characters and several interesting scenes and relationships in the show. If anyone is actually interested in reading it, you can find it over at my LJ. Enjoy? ^_^
